Leadership Team

Kushagra Nandan

Chairman, THE NANDAN GROUP

Kushagra Nandan is the Chairperson of THE NANDAN GROUP through which he invests and mentors start-ups. He is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of REnergy Dynamics, and the Chairman of WOW Greentech. A renewable energy enthusiast, Kushagra has over two decades of industry experience. A serial entrepreneur and investor, Kushagra has built, led, and managed large teams that have developed multiple large scale Renewable Energy projects across the world.

Kushagra co-founded SunSource Energy in 2010. After establishing SunSource Energy as one of India’s leading integrated distributed solar companies, in 2023 he achieved successful exits for PEs and the two founders by divesting stake to a 125-year-old Dutch multinational.

Till February 2024, he was the Managing Director, and CEO of SunSource Energy and currently serves on the company’s board as a non-executive board member.

Before founding SunSource Energy, Kushagra worked with leading global Renewable Energy majors including SunPower, GE, and Conti Group. He is a graduate of Energy Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. Kushagra has also been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy, PhD (Honoris Causa) from Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth University for his contribution to the renewable industry in India.

He chaired the C&I Committee at the NSEFI and is the Co-Chair of the UP State Development Council of ASSOCHAM. Kushagra has won several awards including the ‘BW Businessworld 40 under 40’, the ‘Global Young Entrepreneur Excellence Award’ at WRETC, the ‘UP Ratna 2018’, the ‘Amity Corporate Excellence Awards’ and the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ at the DLA Awards 2019. Kushagra’s work has been highlighted by top publications and he is a sought-after speaker at major global platforms.
